Classrooms without walls

Ben Gar

Going back to the classrooms should not involve being between four walls again, apparently the Sars-Cov2 and its variants will stay with us for a long time. It is not easy to invest in air purifiers and it is not easy to convince infants not to hug or to approach each other.

The outdoor school already existed, of course with the academy and the lyceum, with the peripatetics, in addition to which there have been numerous experiments in recent decades.

In principle, the walls are an echo of our primitive life, where the cave protected us from two factors: the weather and wild beasts. Although the climatic inclemencies persist, they are quite dominable with our current resources, and the beasts, well, poor of them, we’ve displaced them.

Thus the situation, it is not necessary to take refuge to fulfill the task of learning, there are multiple public spaces, from the courtyards of schools, cafeterias, parks, camellones, avenues and others that we should use.

Those who promote the return, argue the need, the urgency to recover socialization and learning, in reality was not completely lost, through the new forms of communication, each generation is finding its forms, but it is true that we need to meet face to face, even with everything and chin on our face, how to do it without risking too much? Well, the sky and the air have been there for a while. It is true that too much sun causes cancer, as much as too much cold or too much rain does damage, but it is enough with a tarp, a hat or some other device to withstand such inclemencies and send the bug there, far away, to hell or even beyond.
